The Wonder-Filled Child. Creative, Curious, Connected.
Studies show that wonder (and its components) make us more creative and more curious about the world around us. With wonder, we build healthier relationships. We are less stressed and we feel we have more time. It makes us more generous and more understanding of others. Plus it makes us healthier. Yup. More wonder = better health.*
I believe wonder is threaded through most of our nearly 1500 stories in some form or another. We have always valued it as a doorway to so much goodness for children — and adults! Of all people I know, David Sewell McCann, Sparkle Storyteller, has the most natural access to wonder I've ever seen.
If I could offer humans any one experience right now, it would be that of wonder. In my experience it brings not only joy, but also opens creativity, a sense of possibility, and a feeling of connectedness to all that is. I think these are things we all seek as we scroll and swipe, produce and perform. But what if it's right under our fingertips, if we could just open to wonder?
Bring on the awe, Lisabeth
